Greenville County EMS--Administrative Coordinator, Training and Education

Minimum Salary:$49,995.40


This Education Coordinator will serve as a primary contact for Community Outreach events, meetings and activities such as hands only CPR events, school events, recruitment and hospital meetings. . In addition, this coordinator will be also be responsible for portions of the Continuing Education Program, coordination of specialty courses (ACLS, BCLS, etc.), assisting with the medical component of Communications Center Training (Medical Terminology etc.) and CPR training for the Communications Center. This coordinator may also be responsible for such shared responsibilities as employee remediation, new employee orientation, planning, record keeping, periodic patient care review, program evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, clinical effectiveness through evaluation of staff competency with evidenced based data, and provide oversight and instruction to GCEMS Clinical Field Supervisors and Field Training Officers. Applicants must have knowledge of South Carolina and National Registry certification protocol. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate degree in Emergency Medical Care, Health Administration or related field. Considerable EMS experience at the appropriate medical level with some experience at the supervisory level and/or some experience as an Educator/Instructor in pre-hospital patient care. Any equivalent combination of education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Each candidate must meet State EMT and/or Paramedic guidelines in experience, training and education as well as have knowledge of state laws and federal regulations regarding EMS.
